Underground Masters Magazine and crew would like to extend our condolences to Dick Gregory’s family and loved ones. Dick Gregory was a hero in the black community and will not be forgotten. He was one of the famous “firsts” as in first black men to do comedy at the all white playboy club. Brother Richard G didn’t take that fame and fortune as an “escape” from the problems of Black Amerikkka during the times of segregation, he used his position and status in the civil rights movement with Dr. Martin Luther King.
All through out the civil rights era, the 1970’s up until his return to the creator, Dick Gregory has been on the forefront in the war for the hearts and minds of the people.
Thank you Dick Gregory for you contribution to humanity, our community and COMEDY.
